Delivery Policies:
Our goal is to exceed your expectations when delivering your furniture, so if you will help us help you by following these important tips, we can better serve you.
- Please move cars from the driveway and if necessary have your driveway cleared of snow or ice and clearly marked if it’s hard to see.
- Please clear a wide path from your entry door to the room where the furniture goes. Remove pictures from the walls, mirrors, accessories and lamps,and any obstructions that may exist on the floor like throw rugs, toys, etc.
- Please remove the existing furniture from the room where the new furniture goes and have an idea where the new furniture will be placed into position so that our people can get everything set up for you quickly and correctly.
- To protect our people, and your pets, please have pets secured where no harm can come to them or to our people.
- To help us find your home, please turn on your outside lights, especially at night. If possible, place a bright indicator on your mailbox the day of delivery, so that our driver can quickly find your driveway and avoid obstructing traffic.
- Please be home to inspect your new furniture or mattresses yourself. If there is anything wrong with your order or any defect present, manufacturers require that it be properly documented on the delivery receipt for your benefit.
- If you have to make arrangements for someone else to accept your delivery on your behalf, please let us know ahead of time so that our staff can re-confirm your order and make sure we have the right pieces scheduled for the right day to avoid any confusion.
- Our delivery staff will give you an anticipated time frame during which you will need to be home. Trucks are loaded the night before the delivery, and for logistical reasons, we cannot commit ahead of time to a specific time of day for your delivery. The delivery staff will contact you the night before the delivery to let you know when you can expect the order to arrive. If you are not home during the scheduled time frame then we will have to charge an additional fee to make a second trip to your home.
- If you need furniture hauled away for disposal or donation, please let our people know at the time of sale, and remind the delivery person when he calls as well. That way we know how much time to budget for your delivery. There is a nominal fee for our staff to haul away old furniture. Please ask for the charges to be added to your sale at the time of purchase.
- Lastly, if you are happy with our delivery service feel free to let us know. We do allow our people to accept tips. So if they impressed you or performed an extra service, please let them know how much you appreciate their efforts.
Deliveries:If you have your furniture delivered by our delivery service staff, we include in-home service free for the first year that you own your furniture.If your furniture cannot be effectively serviced in-home without making a mess or because specialized shop equipment is needed to complete the work, then our staff will pick up your furniture from your home and bring to our service department for the work to be completed. Your furniture will be returned to you on the next available delivery day after the repairs are completed. For health and safety reasons we cannot loan out furniture while yours is in for repair. Most furniture can be returned within a few days. If your need our delivery people to help you move items around in your home to accommodate your needs while your furniture is in our shop for service, we can certainly do that.
Pick Ups:If you pick up your furniture from our store, we don’t pay two guys and a truck and so you can save more of your hard earned money. If you have a service issue, our service technicians will be happy to fix your furniture, and there will be no charge for that service within the applicable warranty period, as long as you return the item to our store for the service to be completed. Our service technicians can still do in-home service for you, but there will be a nominal charge for that service call. Our delivery staff can even come out to your house and pick up the item for service, but a nominal delivery and pickup charge will apply for that service. We don’t make any money servicing furniture, so we only charge what we have to in order to pay our delivery staff and our service technicians.
